We are located on Block 2 of the Haldimand Tract—six miles on either side of the Grand River—on the traditional lands of the Chonnonton, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples.

First Nations, Metis and Inuit cultures, histories and stories are rich and vibrant. Indigenous world views and practices have been disrupted through colonialism, genocide, and forced assimilation. We acknowledge the lasting impacts of colonialism, genocide and assimilation on Indigenous Peoples and the continued benefits settlers derive from these systems.

As we support newcomer settlement, we offer Truth & Reconciliation programming where immigrants and refugees can learn, reflect, and engage with Indigenous histories and ongoing struggles. In working toward a more welcoming community, our team actively engages in reconciliation and decolonization training. We listen, learn, and collaborate with Indigenous partners, elders, and community members to foster open dialogue and take action within the settlement.
